Position Details:

St Martin de Porres School is a very small secondary CARE (Curriculum and Re-Engagement) school in Broome that caters for students who are not able to succeed in mainstream secondary schools for various reasons. We have a small staff, and are looking for a teacher. We will consider applications from either primary or secondary trained teachers, who have empathy and patience for students who are disengaged from mainstream school.  We would also consider a teacher who would like to work part time or full time.

At St Martin de Porres School, there is an element of team teaching and supporting colleagues, however, teachers are responsible for their main teaching area in planning, teaching and assessing.
Frequent note taking and documentation is required, as is communication with our students and our families.  Our students are all on an IEP, so teaching is individually targeted for each student, according to their levels and their interests. We have some core learning areas, and some project based learning.
