Position Details

The Junior Systems Administrator (Level 2 Helpdesk Technician) plays a key role in delivering reliable and responsive technical support across Mercedes College. This position is responsible for maintaining the College’s Standard Operating Environment (SOE), supporting Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems, and ensuring the effective deployment and compliance of software and hardware across both Windows and Apple platforms.

Working collaboratively within the IT team, the Junior Systems Administrator coordinates device imaging, application rollouts, and system updates to ensure consistency and functionality across all student and staff devices. The role also provides escalation support for Level 1 technicians and helps manage day-to-day classroom technology operations, ensuring minimal disruption to teaching and learning.

A strong focus on teamwork, clear communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving is essential, along with a solid understanding of educational IT environments and user-centered service delivery.
