Position Details
Teacher – Full-time, Temporary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and professional educator who is committed to the pursuit of educational excellence, to join our dynamic and dedicated teaching team. This is a fixed term position for the 2025 school year. Primary educators with the relevant training and education are welcome to apply.
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is a rural Catholic school that caters for approximately 40 students and their families from Three-Year-Old Kindergarten to Year 6.
St Joseph’s Primary School is committed to providing excellence in education within a Christ-centred environment. St Joseph’s supports students in their growth as contributing members of the community whilst living the ethos of the Catholic faith.
Selection Criteria
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and enthusiastic educators who have the necessary knowledge, skills and professional capacity to:
• develop and nurture respectful relationships with students, staff and families of the school.
• promote the Catholic faith, education and ethos of the school.
• work as part of a collaborative, cohesive and dedicated Teaching and Learning Team.
• demonstrate excellent teaching practice, with the capacity to engage, motivate and manage students in the classroom and in their learning.
• possess excellent organisational, technological and interpersonal skills.
• have an understanding of contemporary, evidence-based approaches to learning and teaching, including have the ability use data to differentiate the curriculum to cater for a variety of student needs.
• have a sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and practice effective strategies to implement it.
• be committed to the ongoing development of self through the participation in Professional Development and Professional Learning Communities.
• be an active and positive staff member with a willingness to support all class and whole-school initiatives and activities.
Qualifications Required
• Appropriate Teaching Qualifications.
• Current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education is desirable.
• Current Working with Children Check and SCN is available.
