Position Details
Our Lady of Good Counsel Primary School is a single-stream primary school in Karrinyup, WA. The school is focused on building a strong culture of strategic alignment, that delivers high-quality, contemporary and engaging learning experiences for all students. The school has an ongoing teaching vacancy commencing in Term 1, 2026, and we seek applications from passionate, dedicated and committed Physical Education Teachers to join our wonderful team.
Selection Criteria
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Physical Education (PE) Teacher who is passionate about promoting a healthy, active lifestyle among students. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons, and will be committed to creating a positive and inclusive sporting environment. Key selection criteria include:
1. Relevant Qualifications and Experience
2. Planning and Organising Athletics and Interschool Carnivals
3. Swimming Lessons and Carnivals
4. Senior First Aid Certificate
5. Commitment to Student Wellbeing and Engagement
6. Knowledge of Child Development and the Physical Education Curriculum
7. Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills
8. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple events and responsibilities throughout the school year
9. A proactive approach and commitment to professional development.
Qualifications Required
- Relevant 4-year tertiary qualifications
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education or working towards
Application Details
Applicants must submit a letter of application addressing the selection criteria (max. 3 pages) and a copy of current resume. This must be addressed to the Principal, including the names and contact numbers of three referees, one of whom must be the current employer and a Parish Priest.
