Position Details
Assistant Principal
Holy Rosary School Derby is a single stream primary school catering to students from 3-year-old Kindy to Year 6. We believe we need to provide students with the tools and learning experiences to flourish in a variety of environments, through developing the whole child. Staff work together to support our students to grow their unique gifts and talents in and out of the classroom, through awakening their interest, nurturing their characters and valuing their cultural diversity.
Our school is focused on building teacher capacity and creating a high performing team which requires a knowledgeable and pastoral leader to assist fostering their development. We are seeking a leader with strong interpersonal skills and a capacity to build professional relationships. Experience with leading school initiatives would be beneficial.

Selection Criteria
• Have highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills
• Possess ability to be a proactive and collaborative member of a team
• Be prepared to participate in Co-curricular activities
• Model and maintain the Catholic ethos and traditions of the school

• Maintain a high standard of confidentiality
Desirable:
• Expertise in Literacy support programs
• An understanding of requirements and best practice for working with SWD, NCCD
• A commitment to promote, enhance and improve both student and staff wellbeing across the school setting
Qualifications Required
1. Be registered with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
2. Hold a valid Working with Children Check Card in Western Australia (or be able to obtain)
3. Accreditation for Leadership in Catholic Schools or significant progress toward completion
