Position Details

Library Activator
(Two Positions: Morning and Afternoon) – Part-time (0.76 FTE), Temporary

The Library Activator at Mercedes College plays a vital role in supporting the educational mission by maintaining and enhancing the Library as a dynamic space for innovative, inquiry-based, and collaborative learning. Reporting to the Head of Professional Growth, they will ensure the Library’s environment is well-organised, contemporary, and aligned with the needs of students and the College’s activities. Key responsibilities include managing the floorplan and displays, coordinating programs, and overseeing student engagement and supervision in the library, including before and after school and during Homework Club.

The ideal candidate is an intuitive, Education Assistant with a strong passion for learning, technology, and innovation. A background in preparing educational resources, particularly for literacy and numeracy, and experience with learning technologies is highly desired.

1 x This position is term time only (40 weeks per year), Monday to Friday - 7.30am to 12.30pm - 25 hours per week (0.76 FTE)
