Teacher (Four Ongoing Middle / Upper Primary Teachers)


St Munchin’s Catholic School Gosnells, is seeking to employ four passionate, dynamic and enthusiastic Catholic educators to join our diverse, committed and vibrant team.  

St Munchin’s is a co-educational, double-stream Catholic school, founded by the Mercy Sisters.  Today the school caters for over 450 learners from Three-Year-Old Kindy to Year Six.  The school draws its enrolment from a rich, diverse and multicultural community that strives to learn and grow together in harmony.

The successful applicants will be expected to live out their faith in their daily lives, demonstrate excellence in teaching as a priority and be passionate about student learning and development.

Selection Criteria

We are seeking suitably experienced, qualified, professional, committed, positive, "Christ centred, child focused" Catholic educators who has the necessary knowledge, skills, ability and professional desire; along with; Please address each point with 150 words or less.

•    An understanding of and commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education.
•    A team player, with a proven history of developing positive, professional relationships in their current / previous community.
•    Comprehensive knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum with the ability to design content for effective teaching and differentiated learning in a Middle / Upper Classroom.
•    Evidence of data-informed teaching practice through the application of continuous strategies to monitor and enhance student achievement.
•    Experience and passion for 21st century learning, incorporating explicit teaching, flexible learning and inquiry based learning.
•    A proven history of initiating and/or supporting whole school improvement practices and extra-curricular activities.
•    A professional who values the importance of teaching Social and Emotional Wellbeing to enhance and support the wellbeing of our students.
•    Excellent classroom management and organisational skills that create a supportive and safe learning environment for all students.
•    A collaborative, positive and professional educator who thrives in team-orientated environments, values constructive feedback and is committed to ongoing growth.
•    A life long learner with a high level of professionalism, understanding of confidentiality, empathy and positive interpersonal skills.

Qualifications Required

•    Relevant 4-year Tertiary Qualification.
•    Accreditation to teach Religious Education (or working towards).
