Teacher Year 1/2 - Full-time, temporary

Holy Rosary School Derby is a single stream primary school catering to students from 3-year-old Kindy to Year 6.

We believe we need to provide students with the tools and learning experiences to flourish in a variety of environments, through developing the whole child.

Staff work together to support students to grow their unique gifts and talents in and out of the classroom, through awakening their interests, nurturing their characters and valuing their cultural diversity.

Our school is focused on building teacher capacity and creating a high performing team which requires a knowledgeable and pastoral teacher.  We are seeking teachers with strong interpersonal skills and a capacity to build relationships within the school and the community of Derby.

This position is temporary for the remainder of 2024 but there is a possibility of ongoing in 2025.

Remote allowances apply and fully furnished accommodation is available if required.


Selection Criteria

Essential:
•  Demonstrated capacity to differentiate learning experiences
•  Experience with explicit teaching practices with english and mathematics
•  Ability to plan a diverse range of learning experiences to meet the cultural and special needs of the students

Desirable:
•  Accreditation to Teach RE
•  Understanding of trauma informed pedagodgy
