Position Details

Head of House (Pastoral Care Leader) at St. Luke's College – Commencing 2025

St. Luke's College, is seeking an exceptional Pastoral Care Leader to join our dedicated team in 2025. The Head of House plays a crucial role in the vertical pastoral care system of the College. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the wellbeing and behaviour of all students within their House. Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for their growth and personal development. Building positive relationships with students, families, and staff will be an essential aspect of this role.

•    Fortnightly location allowance of $148.63 for singles and $297.25 for those with dependents.
•    $6000 yearly bonus after a full year of service.
•    Paid long service leave for each year of service within that school at twice the applicable rate.
•    Entitled to take long service leave after completing three years' continuous service at the College. Normally seven at CEWA schools and ten in government schools.
•    CEWA pays 100% of teachers water bill.
•    Subsidised electricity bills.
•    CEWA provides a gardener for your property once a fortnight.
•    Return flights to Karratha at the end of each year for teachers and their immediate family members. Reimbursement is up to the value of $1334 per person.


Selection Criteria

•    Foster a positive and inclusive House culture that supports the holistic growth of students.
•    Demonstrate a clear understanding of Pastoral Care and implement effective strategies to enhance student wellbeing, ensuring their emotional, social, and academic needs are met.
•    Work collaboratively with other Heads of House and College staff to coordinate pastoral care programs and initiatives.
•    Demonstrate communication with parents and guardians, building strong partnerships to support students' wellbeing.
•    Strong organisational and time management abilities, enabling efficient coordination of House activities and programs.


Qualifications Required

•    Current WWC.
•    TRBWA registration (or ability to obtain).
•    Minimum 4-year tertiary qualification in Education.
•    Relevant qualifications addressing student Wellbeing/Pastoral Care (favoured, not required).
•    Relevant qualifications in Middle Leadership (favoured, not required).
