Early Years Teacher - Part-time, Temporary


Our Lady of Fatima School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and professional part-time (0.3 FTE) temporary Early Years Teacher, commencing 1 August 2024. We would hope that the successful applicant is available to work on Thursdays and Fridays.

Our Lady of Fatima School is a single stream Catholic co-educational primary school in Palmyra for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year Six. The vision of the school is: "Nurturing lifelong learners, who live out Jesus' message of love and peace". The school strives to live this vision by:

Our Lady of Fatima School works in partnership with the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima, Palmyra and has been an integral part of the local community for 100 years.


Selection Criteria

•    Is fully supportive of the ethos and objectives of Catholic education.
•    Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standard and Western Australian Curriculum.
•    Promotes the importance of play and works in partnership with parents to support the developmental needs of all students.
•    Is creative, dynamic, responsive and agile in his/her teaching approach, utilising technology and intentional teaching to foster student learning and engagement. Experience with the PLD program would be desirable.
•    Has strong time management, organisational and classroom management skills.
•    Communicates effectively with all stakeholders, positively collaborates within a team and contributes to a strong staff culture.
•    Demonstrates a commitment to child safety and an understanding of the CEWA Child Safe Framework.


Qualifications Required

•    A recognised four year tertiary Early Childhood teaching qualification.
•    Accreditation to Teach Religious Education (or ability to obtain).

Responses to each selection criteria should be no longer than half a page. In the CV, applicants need to provide 3 professional referees, one of whom should be the current employer and one of whom should be the parish priest.
