Position Details:
The Education Assistant in the Home Economics department plays a vital role in supporting teachers and students with practical, hands-on learning experiences. This role includes preparing food for classes, ordering supplies, and organising materials to ensure lessons run smoothly and efficiently. Key responsibilities involve setting up practical activities, maintaining cleanliness and safety in kitchen and classroom spaces, and supporting students with various tasks under the teacher's guidance.
The ideal candidate will bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to classroom support. Experience or interest food and nutrition is an advantage, along with the ability to engage positively with students and contribute to a collaborative, student-centered learning environment.
This position is term time only (40 weeks per year) 7.30am to 3.30pm, 3 days a week with specific days to be confirmed.
