PAYROLL OFFICER
(Catholic Archdiocese of Perth Administration Centre)
Permanent, Full-Time
The Payroll Officer reporting to the Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing the payroll process in accordance with Western Australian state laws and the interpretation of Western Australian Awards. This role ensures that all employees are paid accurately and on time, maintains payroll records, and stays updated on changes in legislation and Awards that may affect payroll operations.

The successful candidate must have a willingness and capacity to support the Catholic ethos. They will hold a minimum Certificate IV in payroll or a related field and 2 years of experience as Payroll Officer. This role requires proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite. The candidate will have a professional approach to work, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work as part of a team. This position requires attention to detail & accuracy and communication skills for dealing with internal and external contacts, including staff, parishes, agencies, offices & organisations. A strong understanding of Western Australian Awards and in-depth knowledge of WA State laws and regulations related to payroll would be highly regarded.
A valid National Police Clearance, WA Driver’s Licence, and proof of working rights in Australia required.
