Position Details
DEPUTY PRINCIPAL
Short-term, 16 weeks, Term 2/3 LSL replacement
St Clare's is a Catholic CARE school for girls in Years 8 to 12, who have not been able to engage successfully in mainstream schools. St Clare’s School continues the Apostolic work of the Good Shepherd Sisters, who began the school in 1956. We are seeking a committed, experienced educational Leader to be part of our team.
We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Principal for a 16 week duration from Week 7 of Term 2, through to Week 10 of Term 3, 2025. During part of the appointment period, the current Deputy Principal will be acting Principal.
The role of Deputy Principal is to assist the Principal in serving the school’s mission of delivering quality Catholic Education in the context of a CARE school. This position is an important leadership role in our dual mission of faith and learning. The role spans the religious, pastoral, academic, and operational dimensions of the school, requiring oversight and decision-making in these areas. The Deputy Principal reports directly to the Principal, and is a member of the School Leadership team, together with the Principal, the Lead Psychologist, and the Executive Officer. The Deputy Principal will be a member of the Catholic Secondary Deputy Principals’ Association.
A comprehensive role-description can be found under ‘Employment’ on the School Website: stclares.wa.edu.au/employment/.
Applicants must complete the teacher-application form found on the School Website, even if they wish to attach a CV. The application must be accompanied by a cover letter, of length not more than one page. Applications should be emailed to the school on admin@stclares.wa.edu.au by noon on the closing date.
It is hoped that short-listing will occur by Monday March 31, 2025, with interviews being conducted prior to the end of Term 1. The time-line is subject to change.
