Position Details
Religion Teacher 2026
St Luke's College is seeking a dynamic and inspiring Religious Education teacher to join our dedicated team in 2026. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic educator who is passionate about nurturing both the academic and spiritual development of young people. Depending on the strengths and qualifications of the successful applicant, this role may be a full-time Religious Education position or a combination of Religious Education and another teaching area.

Additional Financial Incentives For Teachers At St Luke's Karratha:
• Subsidised housing.
• Fortnightly location allowance of $148.63 for singles and $297.25 for those with dependents.
• $6000 yearly bonus after a full year of service.
• Paid long service leave for each year of service within that school at twice the applicable rate.
• Entitled to take long service leave after completing three years' continuous service at the College. Normally seven at CEWA schools and ten in government schools.
• CEWA pays 100% of teachers water bill.
• Subsidised electricity bills.
• CEWA provides a gardener for your property once a fortnight.
• Return flights to Karratha at the end of each year for teachers and their immediate family members. Reimbursement is up to the value of $1334 per person.
Selection Criteria
• Demonstrate strong understanding of the Catholic faith and an ability to deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Religious Education lessons.
• Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment that encourages open dialogue and reflection.
• Actively support the Catholic identity and mission of the College through involvement in liturgies, retreats, and faith-based events.
• Collaborate effectively with the Religious Education team and College leaders to enrich faith formation programs.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills, and build positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider community.
Qualifications Required
• Current WWC.
• TRBWA registration (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 4-year tertiary qualification in Education.
• Accreditation to Teach Religious Education in a Catholic School (or willingness to obtain).
