HASS Teacher 2026
St Luke’s College is seeking an energetic and motivated HASS teacher to join our dedicated team in 2026. We are searching for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual who possesses a deep passion for humanities and its role in providing students with the skills, behaviours and capabilities that enable them to understand the historical, political and social fabric of the world.

Additional Financial Incentives For Teachers At St Luke's Karratha:
• Subsidised housing.
• Fortnightly location allowance of $148.63 for singles and $297.25 for those with dependents.
• $6000 yearly bonus after a full year of service.
• Paid long service leave for each year of service within that school at twice the applicable rate.
• Entitled to take long service leave after completing three years' continuous service at the College. Normally seven at CEWA schools and ten in government schools.
• CEWA pays 100% of teachers water bill.
• Subsidised electricity bills.
• CEWA provides a gardener for your property once a fortnight.
• Return flights to Karratha at the end of each year for teachers and their immediate family members. Reimbursement is up to the value of $1334 per person.
Selection Criteria
• Demonstrates a profound knowledge of the Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum, including a clear understanding of key concepts, content, and assessment requirements.
• The ability to teach a range of HASS subjects effectively, such as History, Geography, Economics, and Civics.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, which delivers engaging and interactive lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Qualifications Required
• Current WWC.
• TRBWA registration (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 4-year tertiary qualification in Education.
• Relevant qualifications and teaching certification in Humanities.
