English Teacher 2026
St Luke's College, the only Catholic secondary school in the Pilbara region, is seeking a dynamic and inspiring English teacher to join our dedicated team in 2026. We are searching for a creative and enthusiastic individual who possesses a deep passion for language, literature and literacy. The successful candidate will also possess the ability to nurture students’ creative abilities, empowering them to bring their literary works to life.

Additional Financial Incentives For Teachers At St Luke's Karratha:
• Subsidised housing.
• Fortnightly location allowance of $148.63 for singles and $297.25 for those with dependents.
• $6000 yearly bonus after a full year of service.
• Paid long service leave for each year of service within that school at twice the applicable rate.
• Entitled to take long service leave after completing three years' continuous service at the College. Normally seven at CEWA schools and ten in government schools.
• CEWA pays 100% of teachers water bill.
• Subsidised electricity bills.
• CEWA provides a gardener for your property once a fortnight.
• Return flights to Karratha at the end of each year for teachers and their immediate family members. Reimbursement is up to the value of $1334 per person.
Selection Criteria
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, which delivers engaging and interactive lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Demonstrate expertise in innovative teaching and developing student skills in English.
• Promote valid and reliable assessment through a willingness to engage in departmental processes such as collaborative assessment design and post assessment moderation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and foster excellent teacher-student relationships.
Qualifications Required
• Current WWC.
• TRBWA registration (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 4-year tertiary qualification in Education.
• Relevant qualifications and teaching certification in English.
