HEAD OF LEARNING AREA – MATHEMATICS
Bunbury Catholic College is well established as a leading educator, offering a well-rounded Catholic co-education for Years 7 to 12 in the heart of Bunbury.
The Head of Learning Area (HOLA) is a pivotal member of the Academic Leadership Team at Bunbury Catholic College, responsible for leading curriculum development, assessment practices, and pedagogical innovation within their designated Learning Area. HOLAs provide strategic direction, foster high standards of teaching and learning, and support staff in delivering engaging, rigorous, and inclusive educational programs.
POSITION: HEAD OF LEARNING AREA – MATHEMATICS
TENURE: FULL-TIME ONGOING
COMMENCING: JANUARY 2026 (or earlier by negotiation)
SALARY: As per the WA Catholic School Teachers Enterprise Agreement 2023 – Salary Schedules – Teachers
Plus Promotional Positions Allowance Category 2 – Level 1
The College invites applications from passionate and innovative educators for the position of Head of Learning Area – Mathematics, commencing in 2026. Applicants should be strongly team oriented, committed to supporting the Catholic ethos of the College and its co-curricular activities.
The Head of Learning Area acts in accordance with the College’s Code of Conduct, serving as a role model in their capacity as a middle leader while maintaining a positive profile for the Learning Area within the College and Community.
The Head of Learning Area undertakes responsibility for staff within their learning area. This includes maintaining professional standards, supporting professional development of staff and participating in the appraisal process.
The Head of Learning Area manages and issues curriculum directives as appropriate and whenever required.
The Head of Learning Area attends Academic Leadership Team meetings as scheduled by the Deputy Principal (Teaching and Learning).
