Position Details
Assistant Principal
Infant Jesus School, Morley is a double stream co-educational primary school catering for children from Pre-Kindy to Year 6 with an approximate enrolment of 500 students.  The school has a strong sense of community with an emphasis on pastoral care and acceptance of all cultural and social backgrounds and needs.  The school enjoys a close relationship with the parish and strong support from the parent community.  


Selection Criteria

•    A  commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education, with the capacity to lead and support the Religious Education learning area and promote the Catholic identity of the school.
•    Experience and capability across the Leadership domains of Catholic Identity, Education, Community, and Stewardship.
•    Proven ability to lead innovative, evidence-based teaching and learning programs that are engaging, differentiated, and aligned with school priorities.
•    Outstanding teaching skills and a comprehensive understanding of curriculum and pedagogy to support all students in achieving their full potential. 
•    Skilled in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data at student, classroom, and whole-school levels, with the ability to lead staff in using data to inform planning and drive continuous improvement.
•    Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and the parish community. 
•    Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
•    Experience in leading the integration of students with special needs, including managing funding submissions, tracking progress, and overseeing the development, communication, and review of Individual Education Plans.
•    Demonstrated excellence in planning and integrating digital technologies and thinking skills to create a contemporary, 21st-century learning environment.


Qualifications Required

•    Accreditation to Lead in a Catholic School.
•    A minimum of seven years teaching experience.
•    Experience with the Assistant Principal position is desirable.
•    An ECE qualification is desirable.
