Position Details:

Clontarf Aboriginal College, is a co-educational Catholic CARE (Curriculum and Re-engagement in Education) school in Perth, dedicated to supporting Aboriginal students in Years 7-12. We offer a safe and nurturing environment for educationally marginalised students from metropolitan, rural, and remote areas. Our on-site boarding house provides a unique setting for students to develop lifelong skills while accessing quality education.
We are currently seeking an experienced Health and Health, Physical and Outdoor Education Teacher. The successful applicant will have experience planning and delivering modified programmes to Year 7-12 students.

Selection Criteria:

• Be prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties.
• Ability to teach Health and Health, Physical and Outdoor Education (Foundation). • Be an exemplary, enthusiastic educator who works collaboratively with their colleagues to plan for and implement teaching programs that improve student outcomes through effective teaching which considers the individual learning needs of students.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills that create a supportive and safe environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills. -
• Experience in trauma informed practice.

Qualifications Required:

• A tertiary teaching qualification and TRBWA registration.
• A current Working with Children Card..
• To be working toward or have completed Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School.
• The ability to teach Religious Education or other learning area outside the above would be highly advantageous.
• Hold or have a willingness to obtain a current WA driver’s license (LR) and PTD authorisation.
