<p><strong>ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL</strong></p><p><strong>Position Details</strong><br>St Joseph’s School Waroona is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and relational educational leader to join our leadership team in the role of Assistant Principal – Teaching &amp; Learning commencing 20 July 2026 until 31 December 2026. Please note this is a short term temporary position at this stage. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring or experienced leader who is passionate about curriculum, student outcomes and supporting staff growth in a beautiful, close-knit Catholic school community. Further information about our school can be found at: <a href="https://stjoeswaroona.wa.edu.au/">https://stjoeswaroona.wa.edu.au</a></p><p>The successful applicant will work closely with the Principal, staff and wider school community to:<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Assist with the day-to-day leadership and operation of the school<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Lead curriculum initiatives and support the implementation of the Catholic School Improvement Plan (CSIP)<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Support teachers in teaching and learning, professional growth and professional development<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Assist in the Students with Disabilities (SWD) space and intervention/support programs<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Help guide school improvement through data analysis, planning and curriculum implementation<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Undertake forward planning alongside the Principal<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff, families and community stakeholders<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Model a strong commitment to Catholic education and the life of the school</p><p>We are seeking a person who:<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Is a strong relationship builder with excellent communication skills<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Has sound IT and digital learning skills and can support staff in this space<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Is passionate about contemporary teaching and learning practices<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Can lead staff with warmth, positivity and professionalism<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Is flexible, organised and able to contribute positively to a small school environment</p><p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong><br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Demonstrated commitment to the ethos and values of Catholic education<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Leadership experience or capacity to lead curriculum and school improvement initiatives<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong understanding of contemporary pedagogy and curriculum implementation<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience supporting staff professional learning and growth<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Knowledge of differentiation, intervention and Students with Disabilities processes desirable<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Current TRBWA registration and Working with Children Check required</p><p><strong>Qualifications required</strong><br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;TRBWA registration<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Relevant teaching qualifications<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Accreditation to lead in a Catholic School (or willingness to obtain)<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Leadership experience or qualifications desirable but not compulsory</p><p>Interested candidates are asked to please send a CV, Cover letter (no more than two pages in total) and the names and contact information of at least three referees to the Principal of the school, Ronan Kelly via email to <a href="mailto:Ronan.Kelly@cewa.edu.au">ronan.kelly@cewa.edu.au</a></p><p><strong>Applications close:</strong> 3.00pm on Friday June 19th 2026.</p>
